Professional Bio
With a career that spans advertising, government relations, and association management, Kathy Swenson blends this diverse experience together to champion Washington's community bankers. Since joining Community Bankers of Washington in 2007, she's worn every hat in the organization, becoming President & CEO in 2022.
A Northwest native, Kathy is a graduate of Pacific Lutheran University and a 16-year (and counting) cancer survivor. She is a Trustee of The Northwest Financial Associations Trust, and has served on the WA Department of Commerce Equitable Access to Credit Grant Program Advisory Board since 2024.
When she's not coordinating bankers, events, and details, you might find Kathy baking bread, painting landscapes, being a wine snob, or spending time with her four grandchildren. Oh yeah, and their parents.
