In this session, learn about the necessity of being proactive, setting forth a strategy of independence, focusing on core profitability, ensuring optimal organizational structure, appropriately dealing with management and board succession, and other important issues.

Alice P. Frazier is secretary of the Independent Community Bankers of America® (ICBA), the only national advocacy organization that exclusively represents community banks.
President and CEO of Bank of Charles Town, W. Va., Frazier has served ICBA and the community banking industry for many years. She is a member of the ICBA Executive Committee, board of directors and Federal Delegate Board. She is Executive Committee liaison to the Bank Operations and Payments Committee and a member of the Policy Development Committee. She previously served as an at-large director on the board of directors, as an appointed delegate on the Federal Delegate Board, and as chairman of the Bank Operations and Payments Committee, Large Community Bank and Policy Development committees.
Frazier is also active at the local level. She is past chairman of the Virginia Association of Community Banks. She currently serves on the WVU Medicine University Healthcare Eastern Panhandle Board and Foundation and the Loudoun Education Foundation.
Frazier has a Bachelor of Science degree from Radford University and is a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking and the Graduate School of Bank Investments
She lives in Leesburg, Va. with her husband. They have two sons and a daughter-in-law.
